Structure and Committees
The Alliance for Chemical Awareness
is organized into four distinct operating committees:

Sharing Mechanisms and Liability Issues Committee:
This committee is developing a range of possible options
to address concerns related to the need to share confidential
business information among potential competitors and the
public.

Process
Technical Committee:
This committee is addressing the technical aspects of the Alliance's
mission by developing a framework that can be used to evaluate the
risks of particular chemicals while considering their uses in commerce.
This work includes developing a library of exposure estimation techniques
to characterize exposure to chemicals.

Communications Committee:
This committee is developing a process for accurately and objectively
presenting the results of screening risk characterizations undertaken
by interested stakeholders.

Membership and Partnership Formation Committee:
Given the desire of the Alliance to represent diverse perspectives
a separate committee has been formed to identify key organizations
that should be engaged at the partnership level broaden the Alliance's
membership base and recruit new members. |
