Is qualtitative assessment enough?
After evaluating
the known exposure scenarios qualitatively, one can often
make a case that there is little or no potential for exposures
or that a particular chemical is widely viewed as a low
level hazard. In such cases, no further work may be required
to understand the influence of a chemical. Even a quantitative
screening level assessment may be judged to not be needed
unless new uses or hazard data warrant further examination.
